My approach

I talk and think about business ideas, planning them, realizing them, and addressing the challenges that arise along the way. Perhaps in a somewhat different way than usual. Not from the perspective of the business itself, but rather from the direction of self-reflection, introspection, and facing the difficulties of life. I explore topics such as the fear of failure, embracing personal desires, understanding our own resources, and the distorting effects of the paradigms instilled in us. I encourage you to think more deeply about your own life and to face your fears and uncertainties in order to find your own path.

Lost Garden

I believe one of the most important questions in my life is how to be a good partner to my wife. A vital part of her life is her career and her personal fulfillment. It’s an exciting question for me—how does my role as an investor change when I am a partner in her company? How does our business relationship affect our personal life? How can I be a good partner in both areas at once? How can I support her in a way that truly helps her? It’s a beautiful challenge, like an intricate dance where we are both learning together. The company started less than a year ago and has already won several international awards. But perhaps the greatest success is seeing Kata flourish in it.

Games for Business

The company with which we won everywhere. We won in Rome, Berlin, and London multiple times, and even brought home awards from the USA. We also won tenders across the world, from Germany to Malaysia, spanning several continents. Those years were crucial and full of lessons—dreaming up, developing, and bringing a product to market as an entrepreneur. It was an incredible feeling to see that what we created actually worked. And that this success had international value. This dream was born from burnout, then became a plan, and after 3.5 years of thoughtful work, it led to a successful company sale.

After a business failure and a bankrupt company, I started my marketing agency in 1999 at the age of 24. I ran it for 16 years and finally left it for good after 26 years. This was the company where I grew up as an entrepreneur, but also as a leader and as a person. It was where I hired my first employee, and we grew to a team of 35. It was also where I had my first investor, whom I eventually bought out to regain full ownership of the company. We had amazing clients, including the U.S. Department of State. One of our final American projects even allowed me to put my space policy advisory diploma to use. This was where I learned what it truly meant to be an owner, present in a company without being involved in day-to-day operations.

The Phenomenals

My first classic investment. But perhaps more than that. A real passion project. The founders and I met for a friendly dinner—they just wanted my opinion on their idea. Helping parents navigate parenting situations. I’m in! I want to be in! Such a beautiful goal, and such great people behind it—I wanted to be part of this journey, whether it succeeds or not. This company taught me how to support owners, where my boundaries lie, when I should step in and when I shouldn’t. The business has yet to take off, but something truly special has already been created.

This is my 1st book

I started blogging in January 2024, beginning with business topics, then moving on to space, a couple of company projects… and eventually, I began reflecting on self-awareness—perhaps slightly abstract themes. Then came my dilemmas… my doubts. My fears. My desires. /// This book contains my writings published between January 29 and October 3, 2024. You can read them on the blog or download them as a PDF. This is my 2nd book

I'm working on it now. I’ve started planning, editing. Maybe if I write about where to go next, I'll find out where to go next. Maybe I'll see the direction of what I'm doing now. Maybe writing will tease out the thoughts, and perhaps, as I read myself back, that elusive aha moment will arrive. // “Hovatovább (adverb) – Increasingly; indicating a change occurring over time; almost.” (Hungarian Etymological Dictionary) // This book will be about where I am. Serendipity is a strange word, but its meaning is incredibly important. It describes a situation where something unexpected yet favorable and positive happens while the person was looking for something entirely different or working toward another goal.
